Circular fashion made in italy

In 2017, Niccolò Cipriani is working for a United Nations programme in Vietnam. There, he experienced the effects of overproduction in the fashion industry first-hand. Mountains of clothing that are stored in warehouses and end up unsold in waste incineration because the economic system produces far more than people actually need.

Prato &
Recyclingtradition

Niccolò Cipriani returned to his home town of Prato, where the recycling of textiles has been a tradition for centuries - at a time when recycling was still a matter of common sense.

This is the perfect place to launch his project for a clothing line made from recycled fibres based on zero-waste production.

RIFO IS AN ADVENTURE ...

Our goal is to be the first brand in Italy that is fully committed to sustainability and offers a clothing line that is made from recycled fibres, which means less use of water, pesticides and chemicals.

Our garments are made within 30 kilometres of our office. From the recycled wool, cashmere, denim and silk to the finished product, we guarantee a ‘Made in Italy’ product that doesn't have to travel twice around the world before it reaches people.
